The Lion King composer and six-time Grammy winner Sir Elton John has reportedly welcomed a new cub into his tribe. John and his partner David Furnish had their second child with the same surrogate mother who gave birth to their first son, Zachary, in 2010, according to the New York Post.
The surrogate, whose identity has not been revealed, also acted as the surrogate for Broadway vet Kelsey Grammer’s children. No name or birthdate for John and Furnish’s little bundle of joy has been announced.
John earned a Tony Award for Aida and additional nominations for Billy Elliot: The Musical, The Lion King and producing Next Fall. Additionally, he has composed music for Lestat and the Broadway revues Rock ‘N Roll! The First 5,000 Years and Bette Midler’s Clams on the Half Shell Revue. John’s hit songs include “Bennie and the Jets,” “Candle In the Wind,” “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting” and “Rocket Man.”
